New And Exciting Things Coming....

The 2011 Beachbody Summit brought some exciting news! Here are some of the upcoming features to look forward to--

A New Shakeology Flavor! That's right!! It was announced that Shakeology Tropical will join Chocolate and Greenberry in the Shakeology family. I myself have not tried it yet but it looks so pretty in pink! We also have a vegan version of Shakeoloy coming out in early 2012. Now those that are strict veggie eaters can enjoy the health benefits that Shakeology provides.

Yes, you read that right... the intense P90X has a sequel! P90X2 is set to be released this fall. If you are a fan of trainer Tony Horton, or just want a bigger challenge, this is the program for you! It is designed to pick up where P90X left off--giving you a chance to get even more ripped than before. To add to the P90X excitement, there is a app for your iPad or iPhone that helps you log in your fitness workbook data and track your progress. It has some other great features as well.

A new fitness program! Set to be released in 2012, Tai Chi will be like no other fitness program. It is martial arts based and designed to give you flexibility and balance all while burning calories and losing weight. If you're looking for something different, this is the one for you!Active Duty Military and Spouses Can Coach For Free! This is probably my favorite announcement to come out of this year's Summit. Starting immediately, all active duty military can now become a Coach for FREE! The $39.95 start up fee along with the $14.95 monthly business fee is now WAIVED as long as you are serving on active duty orders. What does this mean if you are active duty military? It means that it is completely free to become a Coach, you get a 25% discount on all products, AND you have the opportunity to make additional income as you build your business, all at no additional cost to you. The best part is-- Spouses also qualify! If you are interested and want more information, contact me via my Facebook fan page (link to the right).

If you have been on the fence about Beachbody and what it can do for you, there is no better time to act. Stay tuned for more things coming!

What Is Your Body Worth To You?

It's a new month and with it comes new challenges and new goals to accomplish. I have a goal that I strive for every day of every month: To help those change their lives and live healthier, inside and out. I accomplish this goal by giving tips and tricks, sharing my triumphs and trials in my own struggles, and spreading the word on how I got as far as I have. For the most part I have been encouraged by the enthusiasm I've encountered in my conversations with others. That is, until people realize that "success" doesn't come for free... literally.

When I spread the word about my Beachbody business, the absolute number one concern I get is "It's too expensive." "I can't afford P90X or Shakeology." "Why bother with that when I can go to the gym for free?" "There's cheaper videos I can use." These are valid concerns because I had the exact same ones myself. What made me decide? I realized that what I was doing, while cost effective, was not working! I can get the weight off, but I couldn't keep it off. Why? Put simply, I had no one to hold me accountable. Everything I did was so hap-hazard and I didn't have the first clue as to what I was doing right or doing wrong. So I turned to Beachbody with excitement because I saw what was available to me. Until I saw how much things cost. My heart sank. "I can't afford that. I'll stick with the gym." But guess what? I was back to square one.

I weighed my options (no pun intended!). I looked at the cost of everything. And after comparing programs from Beachbody and videos from the store, I realized why Beachbody cost more: because of it's simplicity! Look at Insanity, for example. There's the program itself, meal plan to tell you what to eat and when to eat it, calendar to tell you what workout to do on what day, a personal trainer (albeit on TV), PLUS a personal coach to help you every step of the way. What do you get with a $20 DVD? Nothing but a DVD. What do you get with a burned copy of Insanity? And incomplete program. What do you get at the gym for free? Just the equipment and no one to tell you what to do and when to do it.

Look at the long term cost. What would you rather pay-- Say $100 for a program that gives you EVERYTHING, or thousands of dollars each month to fight your diabetes, or heart disease, or all the plethora of obesity-caused ailments? And don't give me the "I have health insurance" argument because you can't predict what kind of insurance you'll have in the political future. What you can predict is that if you don't do something about your health now, you will have problems in the future.

Your body is a temple. What you start today will set you up for the rest of your life. So how much is your "temple" worth to you? How much are you willing to pay to keep it in top form? How much are you willing to pay to keep up with your kids? To watch them graduate? To see them get married? To play with your grandkids? Considering what the future has in front of me, I think what I've paid up to this point is a bargain.
