No Time Left For You

Both of my kids are now in school and I was really excited at the fact that I would be able to start a new exercise routine without having to worry that my kids are doing something they shouldn't (they are 9 and 4). I was excited until I saw my workload for the next 8 weeks.

You see, I'm taking classes and working for my bachelor's degree. My courses are all taken online and even though I'm only taking two at a time, that means that teachers like to cram as much as they can in 8 weeks. Therefore, between my homework, the kids' homework, and everything else that needs to be done around the house, I will be left with very little time to exercise. I tried to reason it out by saying, "I can spare an hour out of my day" but really, I can't.

I know I'm not the only person that is having the issue of just not having enough hours in the day. So what should you do? It would be an absolute shame to let all your results that you've gotten up to this point fall away. So even though you may not have the time to dedicate to working out, one very important thing to remember is to keep up with nutrition!!!! Not working out is no reason to sink back into bad eating habits. Since you're not burning calories it will become more important than ever to make sure your body is getting all the good stuff. Products like Shakeology can help you do that. It is also important to squeeze in whatever physical activity you can get. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Take the dog on a 10 minute walk. Do some arm curls or squats while you're waiting for dinner to be done in the oven. Even something as routine as scrubbing the bathroom will burn calories.

Whenever you're losing weight and getting in shape, half the battle is diet and the other half is exercise. When you can't fit in the exercise, keeping up with nutrition is half the battle and it makes it much easier to sink back into your exercise routine when life slows down a bit.
