So anyway, I usually get a card and/or a sweet little project that one of my kiddos made for me and I'm totally happy with that. You can just imagine my surprise when I come home from church and find this sitting on my counter:
Believe me, there is nothing lame about getting this blender for Mother's Day! If you have ever seen an in-store demonstration with the Vitamix, you know that this is the ULTIMATE blender to have! I literally does EV-RY-THING! After standing in awe of the box for more than half the day, and waiting for my husband to clear away his military gear (he was packing for training), I opened the box and pulled out my new toy.
What I love most about the Vitamix is that it will really incorporate healthier, whole foods into our diet. It came with a binder with over a hundred recipes in it. I can make smoothies galore, marinades, spaghetti sauces, dips, soups, ice cream, and even batter for breads! It's really unbelievable what it can do. No more store-bought stuff for us! I'm going to make whatever I can in this thing (although I hate to waste so I WILL use up the store bought stuff I have first). My mind has just been churning with what I'm going to make first. I'm so looking forward to cleaner, fresher tastes!
As I said to my kids yesterday: "Be ready to drink your meals, guys!" :-)
